The sulphuric acid market is holding its breath ahead of 2H and Q3 contract price negotiations. Inter-regional spot trades have declined in recent weeks, and virtually all European output is being consumed on the continent. North and South American buyers are holding back in the hope that falling sulphur values will produce a downturn in acid prices.
