Bunge in talks to sell fertilizer mining business to Vale

AGRIBUSINESS MAJOR Bunge and Brazilian mining group Vale confirmed January 15 they are engaged in negotiations regarding Vale's potential acquisition of certain Bunge fertilizer mining and production assets in Brazil. Fosfertil, in which Bunge has direct and indirect stakes, and which it has said would be included in the sale, disclosed the talks earlier on January 15, as required by Brazilian regulation.
