FRANCE: The French market is essentially on hold due to the upcoming August holidays. Parcels of 500-1,000 mt have traded at ?253-254/mt FOT, but repeat trades for larger volumes are also suggested at ?248-250/mt FOT. Some distributors claim access to product below ?245/mt FOT on the back of the strong euro, but this could not be verified via actual sales. The euro was quoted at an even $1.30 against the US dollar today, clearly aiding sellers in achieving improved returns in US dollars for Egyptian product.
