TURKEY: Importers are holding off on news of low theoretical FSU returns on competitive prices submitted in the August 17 IPL tender. Most recent procurement is limited to purchases of Romanian material by Yildiz MDF and Camsan at the end of last week. The price for the 3,000 mt for Yildiz is still unavailable, while the 4,500 mt for Camsan were booked just below 315/mt CFR Ordu with 180 days credit. The price for the duty free material is indicative of about $287/mt FOB Romania with a tiny margin for an intermediary, or about $268/mt FOB for dutiable FSU material if shipped from the Black Sea. Offers for Romanian material were suggested this week at $300/mt CFR including credit terms.
