Prices weaken as demand largely dissipates

Demand for AS is notably slower this week and prices for South Korean product in Asian markets such as the Philippines have slipped by $20/mt, into the very low $160s/mt CFR on limited demand and increased output from regional caprolactam units. Brazilian activity is still subdued, with bids for caprolactam grade reported no better than $150/mt CFR against offers at $165/mt CFR.
