Intrepid Potash sees Q2 profits fall 24%

INTREPID POTASH Inc has reported net income of $17.4 million for the second quarter of 2009, compared with $31.6 million in the same period of 2008. Operating income was $26.9 million, down from $51.6 million, while the company's average net realised sales price for potash was $674/st ($743/mt), compared with $425/st ($468/mt) the previous year.
