Ammonia : Middle East price rises after Tampa settles higher

Middle East deals were concluded this week at higher prices than last week following the July 27 settlement of the Tampa price for August at $380/mt, $25/mt above the July number. PCC sold at $320/mt FOB Middle East and Qafco at a netback equivalent of $330/mt, compared with a PCC deal the previous week at $315/mt. Meanwhile in the Black Sea, a deal was reported at $355/mt FOB for August loading, $25/mt above the previous high of $330/mt. Even if the purported price were overstated, deals well above $330/mt are very likely for August shipment in the light of buoyant demand in Europe and North Africa. Irrespectively, the Black Sea FOB price increased for the fourth week running, reaching $325- 330/mt this week, up from the recent low of $280-290/mt at the beginning of July.
