China XLX plans new 800,000 mt/year urea plant

CHINA XLX Fertiliser Ltd. together with its subsidiaries has announced plans to spend RMB 3 billion ($447.7 million) to build a fourth urea plant close to its existing plants in Xinxiang City in China's Henan province. The new plant will be built with capacity for 800,000 mt/year and will raise the group's annual production capacity of urea to over 2 million mt 1 from 1.25 million mt 1 currently, the company said. The new unit is expected to come on stream in 2013.
