CF INDUSTRIES said April 21 that at the company's annual meeting in Deerfield, IL, based on a preliminary count provided by its proxy solicitor, CF stockholders elected three members of the board of directors. The election of the directors' had been challenged by Agrium, which asked CF stockholders to withhold proxy votes as a way of sending a message to CF's board to begin negotiations with Agrium over a proposed cash and stock offer for CF.
