NORANDA INCOME Fund reports that it is experiencing a significant fall in sulphuric acid demand as a result of the sharp drop in industrial activity and the stronger US dollar. Noranda sells its 400,000t/y acid output, produced at its zinc smelter in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, through an agency agreement with Xstrata Canada.
