Following sales of small parcels, mainly for industrial use in France from the Baltic at $235/mt FOB basis fast loading terms, SCPA reportedly booked a 10,000 mt position with Citco at $237/mt FOB this week. Aided by the weak US dollar, Alexfert also booked a total of 15-20,000 mt granular urea at $245/mt this week, reflecting about ?200/mt FOT ex vessel in France, without provisions for finance, weight-loss and margin. The deals are indicative of traders covering prior sales rather than adding forward positions.
