Phosphate Rock INDIA

INDIA: Under India's new budget, the government has elected to reduce the tariff on phosphate rock imports from 5% to 3%. It is not clear whether the new rate will take effect immediately. The reduced levy will bring down feedstock costs of domestically produced phosphoric acid and fertilizers such as DAP. Meanwhile, the government is considering revising the subsidy payment scheme (see above).
