Uralkali: feasible to develop some mine-1 reserves

LATE LAST week a spokesperson for Russian potash producer Uralkali provided further clarification regarding reserves at its Berezniki-1 potash mine, which collapsed and flooded in late 2006. She said the technical and economic study that the company began after the accident to assess whether to develop or write off the reserves at mine-1 currently is undergoing the final stage of examination by the Russian authorities.
