Russian fertilizer export tariffs almost certain

THE RUSSIAN government will next week make a firm decision on whether to impose tariffs on fertilizer exports, but the industry and investors are already preparing for the worst. Speaking to reporters in Moscow on 6 March, Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeev said he expects the government in a meeting next week to approve imposing tariffs of between 8.5% and 9%, and to make the decision effective one month later.
