North American potash inventories near 2 million mt

Potash inventories held by North American producers partly recovered in Q4 2014, from a six-year low at the end of Q3, reaching 1.96 million mt according to data from PotashCorp. The recovery in stocks was due to strong production rates towards the end of the year and soft domestic demand in Q4. Production in December reached 1.77 million mt, almost doubling the four-year production low of 907,000 mt recorded in July.
