Moroccan Jan-Nov imports exceed 4 million mt

Having covered much, if not all, of its near term contract requirement for sulphur, OCP is comfortable through March and April. Anticipating lower prices in the coming weeks, it has retreated from the spot market for the time being. November import data as reported by GTIS showed an import volume of 343,100 mt arriving during the month. Between May and September OCP imported a consistently high volume of sulphur, more than 400,000 mt each month and well above previous years, indicating the higher phosphoric acid production rates seen in 2014.
