Elemental Minerals sees resource upgrade at Dougou

Australia-listed Elemental Minerals has upgraded its mineral resources for the Dougou potash deposit within the Sintoukola permit in the Republic of Congo, following a study by ERCOSPLAN, according to a company statement. The company said that across all seams at the Dougou deposit there are now indicated resources totalling 1.1 billion mt of carnallitite with an average 20.6% KCl grade for 220 million mt of contained KCl. It added that the new resource will factor in its scoping study for the Dougou site which is to be reported this month, but noted that mineral resources are not mineral reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability.
