Chile's full-year acid imports fall 21%

Chile’s sulphuric acid imports for 2014 declined 21% year on year to 2.25 million mt, the latest GTIS data show. Volumes delivered from Peru fell 5.2% on 2013 to 1.24 million mt. Full-year imports from Japan and South Korea also declined year on year. Japan's acid contribution slipped 36% on 2013 to 449,275 million mt while South Korea sent 303,758 million mt, down 39% from the previous year.
