MOSAIC COMPANY reported record third-quarter net earnings this week of $542.1 million for the quarter ended February 28, 2011, compared to net earnings of $222.6 million for the prior year period. "Our record third quarter results reflect outstanding market fundamentals and effective operational execution," Mosaic chief executive Jim Prokopanko said. "We are executing our strategy to increase potash capacity, leverage our scale and improve operations."
