Linas Agro to acquire 50% stake in Ukragro NPK

LITHUANIA’S LINAS Agro Group has reached an agreement to acquire 50% of the shares in Ukrainian mineral fertilizer producer CJSC Ukragro from Arvi ir Ko. Linas has reported the price tag on the transaction at ?3.7 million ($4.6 million). As a result of the deal, which is expected to close in July, Linas will own 63.38% of the shares in Ukragro NPK. The remaining shares will belong to Akola, a company registered in Denmark that is also a shareholder in Linas Agro.
