CHINA: Spot prices held steady this week, with no deals heard above $105/mt CFR, the price that was achieved in a sale by Transfert last week. Sources indicate that the rapid rise in prices cannot be explained solely by the return of some phosphate fertilizer producers to the market. Speculators have reportedly been active since prices fell below $100/mt CFR, and are understood to have restricted sulphur availability to the point where buyers had no alternative sources of supply.
