SAFCO 1H 2008 profits surge 125%

SAUDI ARABIAN Fertilizers Co. (SAFCO) achieved net profits of SR1.9bn ($507m) during the first six months of 2008, compared with SR850m in the same period in 2007, according to SAFCO chairman and managing director Mohamed Al-Mady. This represented an increase of 125%, which was precisely in line with net profits recorded for the first quarter (FW Online, 9 April 2008).
