Steep earning's gain for CF

CF INDUSTRIES' reported net earnings of $158.8m for the first quarter of 2008 a sharp improvement over the first quarter of 2007 when the company earned $57.2m. Despite the huge improvements in earnings, some Wall Street analysts questioned the company's willingness to unexpectedly increase its sales, especially in phosphates, through its forward pricing program (FPP).
