US PRODUCER of inorganic minerals and road de-icing salt Compass Minerals has almost doubled its Q4 earnings for 2007. The Kansas City-based company has reported net earnings of $50.4m for Q4 2007, against $26.2m for the same period in 2006. Its full-year earnings were $80.0m, an increase of $25m on the previous year.
