W Copper plans S burning acid plant

VANCOUVER-BASED Western Copper is hoping to begin pre-stripping work for an open-pit copper mine in Yukon Territory, northwestern Canada this spring. The project, which is still awaiting final permits from the territory's regulator, will include acid heap leaching and the building of a Solvent Extraction/Electrowinning (SX/EW) plant to produce around15,332t/y of copper cathode.
