Brazil's potash imports up almost 20% in 2014

Brazil’s full-year 2014 imports were up 19% year on year to 9.1 million mt, according to ANDA data. The country imported significantly higher quantities of potash between January and April, while in December it imported 657,396 mt, 80% higher than the same month in 2013. According to ANDA data, which also show the total potash imports at 9.1 million mt, Canpotex was the largest importer to Brazil during 2014, with BPC very close behind.
