Brazil: NPK imports down 26% in Q1

Brazil imported 94,565 mt of NPKs in the first quarter of 2015, a 26% fall year on year and the lowest Q1 NPK imports since 2010, according to GTIS. During the quarter, Brazil imported some 70,000 mt from Russian producers and 22,000 mt from Yara. In March, the country's NPK imports fell by over 50% year on year to roughly 24,000 mt. In February the imports also fell by 83%, offsetting a 22% increase in NPK imports during January.
