ADM plans to sell 50% stake in Brazilian export terminal

Archer Daniels Midland Co (ADM) reached an agreement to sell a 50% stake in its export terminal in Barcarena, in the northern Brazilian state of Para, to Glencore. The company said in a statement that following the transaction, the ADM-Glencore JV will own and operate the facility. The two companies plan to quadruple the terminal’s capacity to 6 million mt from 1.5 million mt and allow handling of the larger Panamax vessels.
