Uralkali tops production league despite Solikamsk-2 flood

Uralkali produced a record 12.1 million mt of potash in 2014, surpassing its guidance despite a flood which shut the Solikamsk-2 mine towards the end of the year. The production levels, which are roughly 20% higher than Uralkali’s 2013 production results, maintain the company’s top position in the global potash market in terms of supply. With PotashCorp expecting production at roughly 9.2 million mt and Belaruskali having achieved 10.3 million mt of production during 2014, Uralkali remains roughly 2 million mt ahead in terms of production over its nearest rivals.
