EuroChem increases K+S stake to 15%

ANDREI MELNICHENKO'S EuroChem has confirmed it increased its shareholding in K+S by 5%, bringing the Russian NPK holding's total stake in the German potash player to 15%. "EuroChem's shareholder, MCC Holding Limited (Cyprus) had previously acquired a stake of just over 10% in K+S by the first half of 2008. As of 26 November, EuroChem AM Limited, a subsidiary of EuroChem, held 5%. As a result, the total interest of the EuroChem group in K+S has reached 15%," the company stated in a press release issued 27 November.
