Sherritt posts 68% rise in Q4 net

CANADA'S SHERRITT International has released its fourth quarter results, revealing higher than expected earnings on the back of higher commodity prices. Net income in the fourth quarter of 2010 rose to CAD81 million, from CAD48.3 million a year earlier. Revenue increased 34% to CAD508 million, from CAD379.2 million in the final quarter of 2009.
