Trade has essentially come to a halt as producers/marketers attempt to improve netbacks in a market dominated by uncertainty on Chinese export tax. Bids from traders in the $460s/mt FOB to cover possible sales to STC in India were rejected over the week, as were bids up to $480/mt FOB for other markets. Firm counters were not being made, but unconfirmed reports circulate of a $482/mt FOB sale. Oakley recently disposed of its $515- 517/mt FOB position from NF purchased via Dreymoor, albeit at a substantial loss. The parcel will head for Latin America on a vessel still to be named, in August laydays.
