Brazil: Maintenance stoppages prompt decline in Vale's Q1 rock production

In its Q1 production summary, Vale reports an overall increase of 3% in rock production in both Brazil and Peru compared with the same period last year. In both countries output fell, compared with the previous quarter, giving an overall decline of 10% against Q4 to 1.99 million mt.
