January exports up sharply year on year

As was reported in the January 27 Market Alert, Chinese urea exports in January 2015 identified by customs via GTIS close to 1.68 million mt were up by a full 181% on the 600,000 mt exported in January 2014. India retained the number one destination-slot with shipments of 873,000 mt, up by a massive 470% on January 2014. Deliveries destined for the US reached 180,000 mt, up by 55.6% on the prior year, while cargos loading for Pakistan a shade short of 140,000 mt were up by 61%.
