TFC doubles net in 2010 despite revenue fall

TAIWAN FERTILIZER Company Ltd. (TFC) saw its netprofit more than double in the 12 months ended December31, 2010, despite a 16% year-on-year fall in revenue.According to a company filing to the Taiwan StockExchange, TFC made a net profit of TWD 1.72 billion($59.6 million) last year, up from TWD 2.24 billion in 2009.Revenue, however, fell to TWD 14.43 billion from TWD17.15 billion in 2009. Pre-tax profit fell by 18% to TWD 1.84billion from TWD 2.24 billion. The company did not provideany further details in the stock exchange filing.
