MAP from the Nippon-Jordan plant sold into Turkey

The sale this week of 6,000 mt Jordanian MAP from the Nippon- Jordan plant marks the first known significant export of Jordanian MAP. There have been very small lots delivered in neighbouring markets in the past but not more than a few hundred tonnes in total. The Nippon-Jordan plant is owned by JPMC (70%), Arab Potash Company (20%) and MItsubishi (10%). The 300,000 mt/year granulation plant was established in 1997 essentially to provide NPKs and DAP to the Japanese market with phosphoric acid supplied by JPMC from the IJC plant.
