England's agri-industry to lower greenhouse gases by 2020

ORGANISATIONS REPRESENTING the agriculturalindustry in England on April 4 launched a joint GreenhouseGas Action Plan (GHGAP) setting out how the industry willreduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 3 million mt of CO2equivalents from 2018-2022 without compromisingdomestic production.The UK's Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC)explained in a recent media statement that the 'Action Plan'focuses on how farmers, regardless of their farmingsystem, can become more efficient to help reducegreenhouse gas emissions while making cost savings perunit of production.
