CANADA'S MARIFIL Mines Ltd. announced on January 23 an ongoing exploration programme for potash in the Neuquen Basin in the Mendoza province in Argentina has resulted in the identification and acquisition of a second large area highly favourable for potash in the northern portion of the basin. The company has acquired four claims, totalling 30,000 hectares which it believes are highly prospective for potash, and also for sulphur, uranium and zinc.
