US Southern Plains: Granular urea gains little despite spike elsewhere

Granular urea postings moved up modestly in the Soutnern Plains states, but overall the response to the jump in replacement costs has been slight compared to other US regions. Arkansas River granular urea increased $5-10/st, driving this week’s range near to the top of last week’s quotes at $335/st FOB. Demand is coming from acres devoted to corn, sorghum, cotton, rice and other crops.
