Indonesia to raise fertilizer subsidy

INDONESIA'S GOVERNMENT is planning to increase fertilizer subsidy to Rp17 trillion (about $1.8bn) this year to compensate for price increases, Agriculture Minister Anton Apriyantono said in Solo, Central Java, on 1 June. The proposed figure is more than double the Rp6.5-7 trillion subsidy paid in 2007.
