DARPA awards three contracts for COTS project to develop new sensors in record time

Military sensors experts at the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in Arlington, Va., are adding three research organizations to a program that aims to find new ways of using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) processes for developing military sensors in record time. The DARPA Strategic Technology Office is awarding contracts to Silver Bullet Technology LLC in Newbury Park, Calif.; LS Research LLC in Cedarburg, Wis.; and Warp 9 Designs LLC in Portland, Ore. for the Adaptable Sensor System (ADAPT) phase 2 program.
