Dielectric, pyroelectric and piezoelectric of the solidsolution : (1-x) Pb(In1/2Ta1/2)O3-PbTiO3 (PIT: PT) have beeninvestigated. High dielectric constant of 2300 at room temperatureand 13000 at approximately 248℃, remnant polarization ofapproximately 26μC/cm2, and coercive field of 11kV/cm were measured for compositions near themorphotropic phase boundary (MPB) at x=38 mol% PTPoled ceramics of this composition gave apiezoelectric coefficient, d33, of 302 pC/N andpiezoelectric coupling coefficients, kp and k31, of 37% and 20%, respectively.
