INDIA'S PARADEEP Phosphates Limited (PPL) plans to invest an additional INR 6.0-7.0 billion ($135-137 million) over the next three years to raise production capacity and efficiency at its Paradeep production in Orissa state. Speaking at a press conference on July 20, PPL managing director S.S. Nandurdikar told local media a number of new projects are now underway, which include raising phosphoric acid production capacity from 270,000 mt/year P2O5 to 400,000 mt/year P2O5. PPL produced 240,000 mt P2O5 of phosphoric acid in fiscal 2010/11 (1 April-31 March)
