XO Communications to provide fiber to Memphis Coalition for Advanced Networking

XO Communications announced that it is partnering with the Memphis Coalition for Advanced Networking (MCAN) to provide a dark fiber ring to enable 10Gbps services across the interconnected MCAN network. MCAN is a collaboration of Memphis-based universities and hospitals, including the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, the University of Memphis, the Memphis Bio-works Foundation, and the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Through an interconnected networking strategy, these organizations plan to share content and information in a cost-effective and collaborative way.
