The process that take place in cellulose, chitosan, and their composites under the simultaneous effect of shear strains and pressure were investigated. Electron microscopy, IR spectroscopy, and NMR relaxation showed that dispersion of particle and amorphization of the structure with an increase in microregions with high adsorption potential take place in the individual polymers and their composites. It was found that when cellulose and cellulose-chitosan composites are ground, more intensive disordering of the structure with rearrangement of the initial system of hydrogen bonds takes place with an increase in the treatment temperature, and an inverse temperature dependence is found for chitosan. Films obtained from acetic acid solution of the mixture treated in an extruder have a high sorption capacity for copper ions and an anomalously high rate of chemisorption of copper in comparison to the additive capacity.
