摘要

This section deals with eco-friendly farming technologies for reducing the density of pathogens and insect pests by citing some representative examples. An effective method for reducing the damage from pathogens and insects is to decrease their density. Farm products can escape damage if no pathogen or insect pest exists. Attracting, catching, and killing insects using colored adhesive tapes and pheromone agents are effective methods for lowering their density. In addition, pheromones can be used todisturb the behavior of male insects and to prevent them from mating with females.
