摘要

We demonstrate the feasibility of chemical modification of the surface of fibers and fabrics by layer-by-layer molecular assembly of a water-repellent polysiloxane coating, involving covalent anchoring of nanolayers of a poly(chloromethyl)siloxane coating on the surface of the fibers, followed by grafting a monomolecular finishing layer of long-chain alkyl radicals. The method makes it possible to achieve a high degree of water resistance (wetting contact angle up to 128°) for a concentration of the waterproofing agent equal to 24-98 pinoles per gram of fabric.
