The quality parameters of polyester staple sewing threads of various manufacturers are investigated at the branch research laboratory of the Natural and Chemical Fibres Department of the Vitebsk State Technological University, Belarus. It is shown that sewing threads of the Italian company Bravo-C No. 120 and the German company Gutermann Polar 120 have the best quality and are the most competitive amidst the investigated specimens. These polyester staple fibres are recommended to garment enterprises for sewing goods from loose-fitting garment and dress variety of fabrics and tricot.
