ShearEzy makes shear sense

Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) is working to limit the danger of physical injury from shearing with the development of the ShearEzy upright posture shearing platform. By making shearing easier and safer, AWI hopes to keep shearers in the industry longer and ease the shearing labour crisis. The newly developed ShearEzy upright posture shearing platform promises to revolutionise the laborious work of shearing by making the job easier and safer. The ShearEzy is a product of three years of research and development by AWI supported by Meat and Wool New Zealand (MWNZ). The development promises not only to benefit shearers but the entire wool industry, which is currently suffering from a shearer shortage.
