PELLET cooling is the first step related to preserving pellet quality after the pellets are formed. Pellets leaving the pelleting chamber are hot (175-200°F), moist (around 16% moisture), fragile and easy to break.Elements of effective cooling include the gentle handling of pellets, with minimal production of fines, moisture removal for safe storage and no condensation within the exhaust system.
